Jalandhar, August 20:      Reacting on the role of Shiromani Akali in saving the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in case of personifying himself as tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Salabatura, the president of Punjab Youth Congress, Brinder Singh Dhillon accused Badals of involved directly in saving the culprits for their political gains. He said that as per the facts, Akali Dal is responsible for this disgraceful act but Sukhbir Badal has always misguided the masses on the issue. He said that Punjab Youth Congress will take the issue to people of Punjab and ask them 5 questions related to involvement of Badals in the case.

Addressing the media at Jalandhar, Dhillon said that if the case of 2007 was enquired properly then the desecration cases of 2015 could have been avoided. He said that Badals backstabbed Sikh panth for their political gains and that led to multiple cases of desecration in Punjab.

Dhillon said that a FIR was registered on May 20, 2007 in Salabatpura case and additions were made on June 10, 2017 through a DDR. A sanction order was issued by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab on June 26, 2007 to pursue the case against dera chief. Reacting on that the government filed 2 affidavits in Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court on September 25, 2007 and March 24, 2008 with strong evidences. He said strangely as the 2009 Lok Sabha elections approached, the SAD changed its pace and started weakening the case to get dera votes for Harsimrat Kaur Badal. The bonhomie between Badals and dera chief led to delaying submission of challan in the case for 4 years.

Dhillon said that again just before 3 days of vidhan sabha elections in 2012, the Badals filed a cancellation report in the case that benefitted them in elections. on the same pattern, to get the votes for Harsimrat Kaur Badal in 2014, the Badas filed cancellation report thrice in the court. The govt even did not bother to file an appeal in the case.  He said that the protection of Badals to dera chief led to the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji later on.

Addressing the people of Punjab, Dhillon raised 5 questions on the iasue-

1. Despite having strong evidences, why did the government delayed filing a challan in the court against dera chief for 4 years?

2. Why did Badals filed a wrong cancellation report just  3 days before vidhan sabha elections in2012?

3. What pressurised Badals to take a stand in favour of dera chief in court despite haing evidences?

4. Despite the Hon’ble Governor Punjab issued sanction orders in the 2007 case, why did not the govt challenged the cancellation report in the court?

5. Why did Sulhdir Badal appointed commissioner of Right to Service Commission to the wife of the judge who canceled the case?

Dhillon asked Sukhbir Badal to clarify why did not he act on time to avoid the heinous crime of desecration  of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

Talking about the development work being done by Capt. Amarinder Singh led Congress govt. in state, Dhillon said that the Chief Minister is committed to do development in thr state for welfare of all the stratas of society. Assuring people of state to fulfill all the promises made with them,  Dhillon said that Congress will go to the people with their report and fight the next elections on development issue. He asked the youngsters to join politics for positive change in the society. Dhillon assured that the Congress govt. has taken steps to curb mafia raj patronised by akalis , the perception that no work against mafia has been done needs to be changed and steps needed must be brought in front if the public. We all should be working towards making Punjab great again.
