SAD, AAP MLAs stage walkout in Punjab Assembly to protest against Cong govt ‘not keeping’ promises
Chandigarh, January 16: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) legislators started raising slogans and waving placards on ‘non-fulfilment’ of promises made in 2017 by the Congress government during the opening day of the two-day session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
After Governor VP Singh Badnore started his address, SAD legislators raised slogans and questioned the ‘non-fulfilment’ of promises.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Aman Arora, along with the party MLAs, walked to the Well of the house to stage protest against the failure of the Congress government in keeping the promises made during the Assembly Elections 2017.
Later, AAP MLAs staged a walkout. SAD MLAs also followed suit.
