Punjab Government to dedicate International Mother Language Day function to Farmers Protest
Chandigarh, February 20: The Punjab Government is organizing a special function on the occasion of International Language Day under the banner of Punjab Arts Council focusing on development of Punjabi Language and culture. This year the function will be dedicated to the ongoing Farmers Protest. The Function will be organised at Punjab Kala Bhawan on February 21 from 10.30 am.
Disclosing this here today Media Officer Punjab Arts Council Ninder Ghugianvi said that Charanjit Singh Channi Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Minister Punjab will be the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dr. Surjit Patar Chairman Punjab Kala Parishid will preside over the function.
The upcoming talented artists will perform musical items and songs and Dr. Jalor Singh Khiva and Dr. Rajinder Pal Brar will give special lectures on the importance of Punjabi language.
Gurmukh Singh Lali and Karamjit Gathwala will be honored for their service and contribution to the Punjabi mother tongue.
