“Know Your Campus” programme organised at PIT, Nandgarh

One day orientation program “Know Your Campus” to welcome newly admitted students in academic session 2020-21 was organised at Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT), Nandgarh, a constituent college of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda.

The students performed various solo cultural activities on stage and enjoyed hobby competitive events in leisure mode. The prizes were distributed to the winners.  

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Gupta, Director, Punjab Institute of Technology, Nandgarh, welcomed newly admitted students. He  highlighted the importance of discipline and professional ethics in academic and social life. He further stressed that students should set high aim in their life and must follows it with whole heart and mind. He assured them that the  college will leave no stone unturned in providing quality education and grooming their personality to face competitive world.

            Miss Harmandeep Kaur, Academic In-charge, PIT, Nandgarh presented the annual report of institute and informed them academic procedure, various scholarship schemes, MOU signed between Thompson River University, Kamloops Canada and MRSPTU Bathinda for higher studies. The institute is also  providing free IELTS coaching to fulfill band requirement and for the better communication skills of the students.

            Prof. (Dr) Bhupinder Paul Singh, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, MRSPTU, Bathinda, in his virtual interaction with the students deliberated upon the importance of hard work and dedication in student life. He briefed about  various cultural events organised under Sports and youth welfare, MRSPTU.

Mr. Rajiv Arora, Station Director, All India Radio Bathinda, in his online address congratulated students for choosing PIT, Nandgarh, an institute committed for providing quality education for their prime studies. He stressed upon the importance of adaptability in accordance with changing environment, by citing examples from real life situation.

Prof.(Dr.) Buta Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MRSPTU also conveyed his blessings and best wishes to newly admitted students for their bright future.

Miss Simarjeet Kaur, Assistant Professor, PIT hosted the event as coordinator. SOPs of COVID-19 were duly considered. In house made double layered masks were distributed to all present.
