This was disclosed by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa here today.

Addressing a press conference here today Mr. Sirsa disclosed that he had taken up matter of investigation against Kamalnath with then Home Minister through Union Minister Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal and had written a letter in December 2018. He said that Kamalnath is guilty of instigating mob at Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib on November 1st 1984 where the mob burnt alive two Sikhs. He said that FIR no. 601/84 was registered at Parliament Street Police station on November 1st, 1984 in this case in which police presented chargesheet against five accused but deliberately left out  Kamalnath. He said it is shocking that residential address of all these accused was found to be address of Mr. Kamalnath.

Mr Sirsa said that he had taken up matter with SIT which said that it’s jurisdiction was limited to cases closed for lack of evidence only and it cannot investigate a case already tried in a court of law.

He further disclosed that he then  took up the matter with Home Ministry which has now asked the SIT to investigate case against Kamalnath and it has also issued notification in this regard extending jurisdiction/scope of enquiry of SIT.

He said that though two witnesses including a journalist of Indian Express Mr. Sanjay Suri was had published report on November 2nd edition of 1984 detailing presence and involvement of Kamalnath and another employee of DSGMC MR Mukhtyar Singh and other evidence was there to take case against Kamalnath to court but he was shielded by Gandhi family for last 35 years and no investigation was carried out against him.

Mr. Sirsa said that new order of Home Ministry extending the scope of enquiry has paved way for reinvestigation in cases where accused were let off due to lack of evidence due to collusion of police with the guilty.

The DSGMC President said that now with reinvestigation of case, Mr. Kamalnath will surely go to jail like Sajjan Kumar who too was enjoying Z plus security due to Gandhi family. He said his involvement in 1984 Sikh genocide will be proved in the court after completion of fresh enquiry against him.

Mr Sirsa said that now we will urge SIT to include name of Mr. Kamalnath in FIR No. 601/84 and immediately arrest him. He said that with latest order of Home Ministry we have fulfilled our promise to ensure action against Kamalnath. He said that with this order other influential persons involved in the Sikh Genocide will also face enquiry and ultimately the cases and jail.
