Education Department suspends 3 teachers for moral turpitude
Chandigarh, February 9:
The Education Department, Punjab has placed under suspension with immediate effect 3 teachers namely Bharat Bhushan Lecturer in English at Government Senior Secondary School Nathowal, District Ludhiana, Harjit Singh Punjabi Master at Government Senior Secondary School Nathowal, District Ludhiana (Now, Government Senior Secondary School, Manuke (District Ludhiana) and Sukhvir Singh Math Master of the same school for moral turpitude. The headquarter of these teachers has been fixed at office of the District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Moga.
Disclosing this, DPI (Secondary Education) Mr. Paramjit Singh said that the Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary had instructed the Secretary, School Education Mr. Krishan Kumar to take immediate and strong action with regard to the incident of moral turpitude at the Government Senior Secondary School Nathowal. So, as per the orders of Mr. Krishan Kumar the suspension of these teachers has been ordered with immediate effect by the department in accordance with the FIR No. 0037 registered on 8-2-2018 at police station hathur, District Ludhiana and the preliminary enquiry report of the District Education Officer (Secondary Education).
He also said that Mr. Krishan Kumar has emphsised that no act of moral turpitude by any teacher would be tolerated and also that the probe in this regard would be completed soon so as to ensure exemplary punishment to the wrongdoers.
