New Delhi / Chandigarh, February 6

On the last day of campaigning for the Delhi assembly elections, the Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) party pushed its full steam in favor of the party candidates. Punjab unit President and Parliamentarian Bhagwant Mann, who addressed umpteen public rallies as a star campaigner, addressing more than a dozen public meetings during a massive road show in the poll-bound 6 Assembly constituencies on Thursday, making a fervent appeal to the people to vote and support the AAP candidates and strengthen the hands of Arvind Kejriwal, the new Vikas Purush of the country. These constituencies included Rithala, Rohini, Silampur, Gonda, Mustafabad and Rohtas Nagar.

Bhagwant Mann said that the Delhi Assembly elections were historic in many ways than one, for all eyes were on the elections there, where AAP, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, was asking for votes on the strength of its performance during the 5-year-tenure. The AAP leader said the politics of spreading communal hatred amongst the diverse communities was the only poll plank of the BJP party under the leadership of Modi-Amit Shah, saying it was playing all the cards to distract the peoples’ mind from the core issues. The BJP had no issues, like providing jobs to jobless, health and hygiene, education, farm woes, and other issues of import, Mann said.

He said the responsibility of the people of Delhi had increased manifold to ensure victory of the AAP which brought in a whole new concept of politics of probity tearing into a politics of hatred, which was why AAP was asking for votes on the basis of its stellar performance, undertaking a guarantee of continuation of public-centric works and project in the coming five years.

Bhagwant Mann said that for the Delhi elections party legislators, senior leaders, office-bearers and more than 5000 volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party from Punjab had been sweating it out for more than 20-25 days now to ensure a stupendous victory of the party, adding that leaders, lawyers, doctors from unions/ organizations, who were not directly associated with the with the party, were also seen campaigning for the party candidates. Mann thanked them all for their untiring efforts.

Mann said “Seeing mood and ‘mizaz’ of the people of Delhi and the positive trends in favour of the AAP, the Delhi victory is a foregone conclusion. We shall replicate the Delhi model in the 2022 assembly elections in Punjab by forming the government.”
