BJP’s anti-Dalit face has been exposed umpteen times: Harpal Singh Cheema

Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Leader of Opposition, Harpal Singh Cheema has accused the BJP of being anti-Dalit to core by disagreeing to the Supreme Court’s decision on appointments and promotions in government jobs.

In a statement released from party headquarters, on Monday, Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST) were being deprived of government jobs and higher education under a conspiracy, holding both the successive Congress and BJP-SAD governments in the state and at the centre were responsible for the sorry state of affairs.

He alleged that the anti-Dalit face of the BJP stood exposed every time it played out its caste cards. Citing the recent decision in the state of Uttarakhand, throwing up questions of propriety, saying the BJP was responsible for crushing the SC-ST community under a well thought design to debar them from higher education and appointments in government jobs.
