Alumni Connect: GZSCCET alumni decides to pay back to their alma-mater

Bathinda, November 17:  Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET), Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) gets strong support from its affluent and committed NRI alumni, United Kingdom (UK) based Company, Manzeera Solutions, Managing Director, Mr. Maninder Singh and his friends, who pitch in to prop up and train students of their alma mater, donating time, money and their expertise in generous measure.

 

          The University organized a student Interaction session (Alumni Connect) under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu.

 

          The Alumni of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) have proposed a free training for the University B-Tech. students in the latest field of Information Technology (IT) and CSE sectors.

 

          Mr. Maninder Singh, who is Alumni of 2000 batch of CSE department have shared an expert session on IT prospects. He also proposed to inculcate the skills in the field of data analysis and data retrieval which is the need of the hour and a golden opportunity for students. He also shared his views on the latest trends in the IT/CSE industry.

 

          Manzeera Solutions already has big clients including very large companies like World Rugby, Springer Nature, Vodafone, XOServe and many more.

 

          Mr.  Maninder Singh has also targeted to train more than 100 engineering students in near future and promised to donate Rs. 5 lakh in Alumni fund for the betterment of students of the MRSPTU, Bathinda.  In the last Mr. Singh and his team shared their opinion with affiliated colleges and suggested to start with new opportunities in the colleges.

 

          Mr. Singh and his friends Mr. Jaspal Singh Guru and Mr. Amanadeep Singh Sidhu also shared their experiences and views to the 3rd year B-Tech CSE students. The meeting was also conducted in ONLINE mode. Mr. Amandep Singh Sidhu also expressed his desire to upgrade Computer Lab of MRSPTU  as a Smart lab.

 

          Earlier, Mr. Singh along with his alumni classmates has been welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Campus Director-GZSCCET, Bathinda, Dr. Savina Bansal,  Head of CSE department, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Senior faculty and University officials Dr. Gupreet Singh Bath, Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Dr. Bhupinder Singh,   Mr.  Harjinder Singh Sidhu, Sh. Harjot Singh Sidhu, Sh. Amanpreet Singh Arshi, Er. Manpreet Kaur Sidhu, Er. Navdeep Kaur and Er. Haramritpal Singh Sidhu. 

 

          “Our Alumni can tremendously support our Placement cell by linking the Industries wherever they are working. We are thankful to Maninder Singh and his friends for their initiative,” said Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu and Dr. Savina Bansal.

 

          It is worthwhile to mention here that GZSCCET has more than      15, 000 Alumni’s which are working in various national and International organizations, public and corporate sectors, IT sectors at quite senior posts. This Alumni initiative would benefit to develop a connect between alumni and Alma Mater for benefit of Campus, Affiliated Colleges and University.
